Outside the Office

Mia and her husband live in Austin with their two young children. A lifelong Texas Longhorns fan, Mia cheered on the sidelines during two national championship games during her time in college. When she’s not in the courtroom, she enjoys restoring a 19th-century home in her hometown, spending time with family, and cheering on Longhorn football.

  • Represented numerous LLC members, partners, shareholders, owners in inter-company disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty, self-dealing, fraud, mismanagement, business divorce, dissolution, and board disputes.
  • Represented parties on both sides of the docket in fiduciary matters, including trust, estate, partnership, involving high value disputes, including international trust and asset protection.
  • Defended wide range of employers, throughout Texas and the United States, in cases involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, FLSA violations and other claims arising out of the employee/employer relationship.
  • Litigated disputes involving real estate transactions, including but not limited to suits involving all types of developments, land use and entitlement matters, homeowner association disputes, environmental disputes, partition suits, construction defects and premises liability.
  • Prosecuted and defended cases involving non-compete, non-solicitation agreements and misappropriation of trade secrets.
  • Guided clients through class and collective action certification and decertification.
  • Handled Title IX cases involving university misconduct allegations.
